      it's a Usage limit - not a download limit...

Having said that, Zen is a download limit and they state uploads don't count...which is good of them...

With Sky maybe, certainly not with other ISP's where they only take in to consideration how much you download. Most are not bothered about Upload and dont count it.

And yeah Zen do say that on their website, think they will be the one i eventually change over to

Remember IDNet also don't charge for uploads.

I am beginning to think the fact that you get your BB for nothing (& good luck to you) is clouding your comments re Sky Connect.

If you are paying 17.00 per month for a proved sub standard service things do not appear so good.

Your earlier comments were extremely useful but now they seem to be affected by your preferential (zero) financial outlay to Sky for your BB service.

Please attempt to look at the problem from the point of view of someone who is paying through the nose and receiving a very, very poor service.

To be frank, your views are (understandably) extremely biased.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

Did Bt speed tester about 6pm
      DSL D4192 DSL U448
IP Profile for line during test 3500
      Actual throughput 2156
can live with that logged of came back thought it was a bit slow 3 before you can us BT speed tester so ran Skyuser speed tester 1240 Speed tester .net 1233 and think broadband 580 but think broadband always lowest.
We will monitor your Sky Broadband usage during peak times from 5pm to 12am each day. you do
This is when the majority of customers use the network and when speeds could be affected by the excessive usage of a minority. But if Sky had enough bandwidth to supply all their Customer
If we consider that your usage is excessive during peak times we may slow down your connection for the rest of the day so that it has less affect on others. because you slow down 98% on a random basis
Only a very small number of customers will be affected by this (less than 2%). If you are affected, 98% are effected
we will only slow down the speed you can get during peak times for applications which use a lot of bandwidth (for example, streaming, peer-to-peer and newsgroups) and which have a negative affect on other customers. So you can make Sky connect Customers ring Sky and get a negative response from Sky
You will still be able to use Sky Broadband to do other things normally such as browsing, email, instant messaging and VOIP. because you will receive messages email 404 router 100 200 300
There are no restrictions in place outside of peak times. 1 not many in to bother 2 Because Sky are to busy getting ready to pick which areas to throttle for that night
Do I want to beg Sky for Help Do we on connect want a fair deal
