      Nothing wrong weith those stats, any slowdown looks like the capacity issue again.

      Hey Yun! i was 2 months into my virgin media contract when i quit, its simple use the BT speed tester for a few days and keep a log of what speeds you get, 4 or 5 should suffice, ring Sky and say that under T&Cs they have broken there contract and provided you with a **** service, i seem to remember that you can rip your contract up with the proof it sucks, then if your infact LLU due in June/July i suggest Aquiss ADSL, (1 month contract)

      @leJames

      As Smithy has said, you stats are very good and your main problem is probably exchange contention/throttling. Go to BT Performance Tester enter your phone number then your ADSL username. This will do an official BT speed test and show your present Profile. Your ADSL username is <the LAN MAC number of your router, no colons, followed by> @skydsl You can also obtain this from the router by using one of the utilities available on the forum.
      You should be able to use this report when phone Sky, but it will depend on who takes your call as Sky TS do not seem to be trained for Connect customers. This tester is always busy, it could take several attempts to get on.

      If you are not running Vista, you should download and run TCPOptimiser. Link below. This will ensure that your settings are as good as possible for your connection.

      Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

      My connection had been getting better in the evenings, mmmm then last night happened. Speed test results came through at just over a meg, Browsing was just not fun. I really needed my connection last night, so have to pick up the pieces this morning now.

      I have not really hammered my connection to much, I did hit around 6 gig on the 29th thats my highest day, overall for Jan my total UL and DL is 24 gig, which is a very high month for me.

      Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

      There is something that many may not have considered and that is Sky Player. It is nothing more than a P2P client. Unlike other clients like Limewire, it works away in the background showing no obvious presence. If you are running it, it can gobble up several Gbs a day, even if you are not downloading. Everyone should run something like the Bandwidth Meter or Netmeter to actually check what you are down/uploading.

      Please understand, I am not implying that everyone who is being throttled is using this, I am simply suggesting that if you are using Sky Player, you consider the effect on your bandwidth.
