      Sorry, won't get involved with BT Speedtester, an absolute pain in the proverbial.

      However, just done a test (6.25pm) on the same speedtester that logged my earlier readings (6.7Mb Plus) and the reading was 768K. As I say, there is definitely a switch being thrown around 6pm by Sky/BT HQ. Just surfing normally without even an odd YouTube employed.

      SURFING THROUGH TREACLE AS WE SPEAK! A total disgrace, Sky are not supplying a proper service for the outlay of 17.00 per month.

      Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

      * Broadband package: Sky Connect
      * Normal Speed: 7.4mb (what you would normally expect)
      * Current throttled speed: about 400kbs
      * Average usage per day: A lot
      * What does this throttling affect? Browsing / Gaming(not terrible, mind you) / Torrents

      Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

      Do the following:

      Enter your phone number (the one that BB is on) and click go.

      Then enter your ADSL username. This is the LAN MAC address of your router followed by @skydsl e.g. 001B3F81BEE9@skydsl. Note is must be the LAN MAC not the ADSL MAC and entered without the colons. You'll find the LAN MAC in your router status page so copy and paste it to avoid mistyping.
