      You are not being throttled, except to the extent that the free service is limited to 2 Mb.
      There is no contention ratio on an LLU connection.
      Wireless channels have nothing to do with internet speed.

      As already advised, if you are on Base, as your Profile says, start a new thread and include in it your router stats, see the link in the Quick Links box on the left. To give a comparison, take these stats from your normal position and from the Test socket, link below.

      Just to emphasize, BSkyB will not, in fact cannot edit anything posted in this forum. The only ones who can are the owners and those with Moderators privileges. Criticism of Sky will not be edited, unless it breaches the forums rules.

      Ha I could hardly register for this site tonight the net is so bad, my mail kept timing out!

      I'v notice the 5-12 cap for months now, I used to game alot now I can't (only in the day time) browsing sucks and so does downloading.


      Should be getting 7mb...

      Change you details to Sky Connect, I doubt you are on Base.

      Then, change your ISP

      Hi can you put in your router stats How to get your router statistics just
      follow the instructions then copy and paste to your next post so we can see which Package you are on

      We have the package, broadband, phone and some sky channels.
      Sky have 3 different packages Base, Mid/Everyday, Max/Unlimited and then Connect which is a Bt re-badged product

      Hi sorry to have to tell you Upload of 448kbps is the Connect Package which is Traffic Shaped from 5pm till Midnight. Can you put your exchange on your next post or click on link SamKnows Broadband - Availability - Exchange Search and follow
      instructions and will show what exchange you are on

      We have allready phone sky about it, they said it was BT's fault the exchange was too busy or something.

      It's not BT, it's Sky, they have not bought enough capacity for the Sky Connect package and so there is not enough to go around.

      Whatever Sky tell you to do, it won't help, the only soloution is to leave like many, many others have.
