Just sky up to their old tricks, the guy on the phone asked me "why do you want to leave the biggest and best broadband in the uk. and denied traffic shaping etc. Abysmal, get out of connect as soon as you can!
i would have lost the rag by now, took them 6 days for my Mac code thankfully it worked first time.. there customer service is appaling at best of times, except IANTE we love IANTE

      What and you believed them

If you had taken the time to read what was actually happening you would have known this was not the case, Connect is over capacity so traffic is being held up during peak hours.

Not sure why you need to add insults to your reply, I though it was a good idea to understand what you were talking about before you posted it for others to read.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

Evening, I am a new sky braodband customer , well recently new.. 2 months.
      I am paying for connect 8mb ...

Week 1-2 perfect connection 7mb consistent and no problems.
Week 3 to now... pure hell.
Had an angineer to site to change sockets, test line etc etc.. and low and behold...Sky are 'shaping' the traffic in my area.....

So while I pay for 8mb and 3-4mb may be ok.. I actually am getting less than 1mb on any evening after 5pm until 12pm..
I dont download .. I play games,,,, so for me any online gaming experience now is worse that the good old early nineties on ISDN.,,,

How do I extricate from my contract if Sky are not providing anywhere near the service I am contracted into?

      Any help or pointers appreciated..
