Well im a connect customer that has had no improvement whatsoever
my connex is worse than ever tonight

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
      Your DSL connection rate: 3904 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 511 kbps

this affects everything i try browsing, web pages take longer than 56k loading times, youtube stop load stop load quicker watching paint dry, gaming the principle reason i want the net gone from being able to play a few months back too cant connect time outs to tfc servers super lag pings off 100+ to 300 (uk servers)

Hi that was the first time since about October that I could watch anything and that was the last it all changed to Sky Throttling again. The best thing is to do Bt tests daytime and nighttime so that if you ever ring Sky you will already have the information Sky will ask you to do. Sorry to say But Sky Connect has not ever been any good for on line gaming as you have probably read on this thread anyway I hope you get sorted

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

I live in a area where the exchange only does 3mbs and "traffic management" means im losing 2.5 off that, its only recently that some other isp's have now moved their eqiupment into there and im seriously thinking of moving to one of them, it was only the fact i read that sky where migrating to this new system i thought id hang on and see if it helps,
now that i can do the test i will keep checking, shaping supposed to be between peak periods, but just now its all wk/end and starts well before and after 5pm-12am
      times.
      Thanks for help & advice

You are unlikely to get any! If you are paying 17, you should consider a move to O2 who have enabled your exchange. You would get more for less

Take a tip from me, get away from Connect asap, it is a waste of time and money after 5pm each day. Steve is a lovely bloke but just will not leave.

Think about Newnet or IDNet as your ISP they are basically the only ones that 100% do not throttle your connection, guaranteed 24/7. If you change to one of those you will be surprised at the difference in service.

      Ditch Connect NOW!
