Hi Tom Exactly told me my exchange was to be opened in six months then told did not know as Sky had stopped enabling LLU in all new exchanges

Sky barely make anything on Connect it is - they've undercharged the entire time - most other services with a 40GB allowance are getting on at least 50% more expensive...
IANTE Does that mean mid should be twice as much
Connect product at £17 pm Mid £10; Max £15; you’ll get £5 off each month provided you take Sky Talk. Sky Talk pricing and call rates may vary, current rates Mid – 40GB; Max – Unlimited; Connect – 40GB

Hi it is not going to get any better and it is a guarantee that Sky will not turn away business and still push connect

Hi Smithy you would have thought that someone at Sky could see where they were heading running a multi million pound business surely they never thought the connect issue would just fade away

no Steve as it's running through the Sky network - so they don't have to pay BT for it or for BT to fix things...not a very clever statement really

Sky don't make a loss on anything. They have been creaming their satellite TV monopoly for years, along with lots of advertising revenue. They chose to become involved in the internet business to make profit. They chose to market and sell a product which was substandard. They chose to oversubscribe a product which had limitations unknown to the purchaser. They also chose to set the price. As far as I am concerned they are totallly at fault and need to sort it, I would pay to receive better service, but then again I don't exactly receive a service at present.

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

OK, Sky make a fair bit on the TV service - I won't argue that...and their LLU service is cheap as you already pay a lot for TV...

But this is about BTW and their pricing and Sky are making little or no profit on it whatsoever so comparing it to the rest of their products isn't a fair comparison...until BT lower the prices on the pipes or Sky cough up Connect won't get any better...

(now awaits a witty comeback from yunorisson...)
