but Sky didn't keep it @ 2000 when you moved...hence what I said is correct!!!

and anyway, ip profile is governed by sync speed...if it's stuck it goes to BT - so it's STILL nothing to do with Sky, they just have to get BT to change it...if BT don't do it then there's a reason for it...

anyway, done now so happy days...

As a 'professional' and a 'graduate' (your description, not mine') you should be able to reply with a little humility. However, it appears that this valuable quality is missing from your make up.

Always remember, there is a great deal more to life than thinking you are 'educationally' superior to the rest of society. Society can teach you a thing or two, and maybe a great deal more, guaranteed!

      Think about it!!

Mate, jog on...I was simply pointing out it's not Sky's fault that he didn't instantly get the faster speeds!!! Did you notice the

You've got an unhealthy obsession with what I said about 6 months ago - yes I am a graduate and and 'professional' in the way I go about my work - but I'm also well schooled in life...

Perhaps not as much as you, I'm assuming you're probably double my age - if not more (putting you at about 60), but you can get down off that high horse you sit on...

End of the day, I know more about this than you as it's my job to know it...

      And relax...

I have to agree with IANTE. When a connection is made to BT ADSLMax (called Connect by Sky) the initial profile is set at 2Mb, the line then trains up or down from that point. Anyone moving to another ISP starts afresh with that ISP, they do not carry anything over from their previous one.

Hi that is unreal what I would suggest is that when you do the Bt test to put the time and date.
so when you need to talk to Sky you have all the information also by doing tests when you get good speeds to show what you would normally be getting when not throttled. That is the lowest I have seen below is what they say BUT above is what they do. (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users this will give you more information.
I thought things were getting better because not many posts about problems but it looks like I might be wrong. Maybe a lot of connect Customers are just putting up with the throttling. You do have rights Traffic Management ok but Throttling

This is because of people doing 116GB in 15 days (yes, we had one the other day)...

Here in lyes the problem.. if sky users arnt gonna get punished for going over the 40gb limit then what the hell is the point in a 40gb limit? then everyone else suffers, with my ISP Now if i got over my limit i get throttled, unless i buy a top up which is better than throttle everyone!
