How long ago now was it when you left. some connect Customers have said on different threads nearly all day up to 12midnight but the most it is from 5pm till 12midnight if only sky was to tell the connect Customers that they were doing something about it or even admit they know that would be something. pleased you got sorted theres a thread below Unofficial FAQ - Sky Connect Users one of the members Gazz380 set it up he is now an ex connect

Well heres a quick update, i Have moved, am now with ADSL24, so far so good however teething problems, thanks to sky! My IP Profile is screwed, so am only putting threw 2meg, altho actually connected 6meg.. so waiting for the profile to settle at a higher rate (about 10 days).

Upload and Download speeds are great, they even have a nice option of Interleaving, which i have turned off to reduce latency = better ping times

      18 - 30gig download peak (unlimited offpeak)

Pinging to Maidenhead at 56ms rather that 136ms that Sky gave me! Speed Tests to Come

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

how is the IP profile being at 2Mbps (which, btw, is the default for ANY BTW connection) anything to do with Sky if you've moved?...

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

Because before i moved sky had it in there bright minds to reprofile my line to it, from 5500.. to which i complained and they never fixed it, and BT migrated me with the same profile!

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

no, they didn't...ANY new BTW connection starts at 2000kbps...

it's nothing to do with Sky as it's a new connection with a new ISP...they don't inherit anything from your previous one...

if that was the case I'd still be on 2000 from when I was with BT!! it changed to 4500 once I moved to Sky after initially being slow...

Hi I know what you mean there is a connect Customer been on Sky connect for 3yrs still awaiting exchange to be LLU I hope all gets better soon

Just another low or lowest it has been for a long time. at least mine only gets throttled now and again not like some connect Customers who are being throttled all day and night. because it is not traffic managed it is throttling connect Customers

To ensure we provide a sustainable quality broadband service to our customers, we continuously monitor and efficiently manage the Sky Network as a whole. To do this, during peak times (from 5pm to 12am each day), we may slow down the speed that all Sky Broadband Connect customers can get on certain applications which we consider use up a lot of bandwidth (for example peer-to-peer and newsgroups) and which have a negative affect on other customers There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our network YOU DO

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

IP profile for your line is - 3500 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 878 kbps
Now thats not Traffic Management Thats Throttle
