Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

Hi Norman what you need now is the throttle speed 5pm To 12 midnight if you can do a Bt Performance from 5pm to 7pm remember 3hr before next test then do the test and you will find about 10pm and onwards a lot slower they are the test that sky are interested in because that is proof
your ADSL Download 8128 IP Profile for line7150Actual IP throughput 6535 that is 1.5mbs when mine is working properly on mine there is only 500kbpps which should take you up to 7mbs. can you put your stats up so they can be read. Thanks

the Sky username is the MAC address off the bottom of your router with @skydsl at the end, e.g.

      00234C2A4F5@skydsl

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

I never lie - it's actually not Sky but agents who seem to think it IS BT...there have been a load of internal documents about Sky's traffic shaping but it seems some agents don't read them or just don't care...

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

From what was explain its basically Sky Connect is using BT equipment to your local exchange which then goes to the nearest Sky LLU equipment, and then your on Skys network, the problem is that the Sky LLU network is over capacity, he told me that my local exchange was 3000 people but am probably routed to Larne which serves 13000, and all thats in there is a 100mb pipe! and proirity is given to Skys own branded products, which could explain why IANTE you are getting decents speeds because your nearest LLU point has been upgraded, he also mention that BT are helping sky upgrade some areas, Carrickfergus was recently done upto 1gb pipe!
