      Thinking of getting Sky broadband

      Hi all,

been reading the forums for a while without posting but here I am, been a sky customer for ages, but only TV, Ive tried to get Sky BB before and had my fingers burnt, now im looking to make some cut backs and the price of the Sky packets looks appealing. Anyway, i use the net alot and i consider my broadband essential, but i dont fancy joining sky if like before im waiting hours on the phone, waiting up to 30 days for problems to be sorted when they wrent sorted and connection keep dropping out, im with Virgin and 17.99 a month for basic broadband is not a good deal, has anyone got any experience of Sky broadband in the East sussex area, thanks in advance.

Despite what you may read on here, a lot of people do not have all the above issues. If you do need any help, there are plenty of people to help you out on here, all you need to do is start a thread.

That will be fine for general browsing and gaming (not 24/7) but certainly a few hours a day, you can always go up if you need to.

For gaming you can do it on the basic package but you only have a 2gigabyte bandwidth use limit and also you will have a very low upload speed which you will notice as now it is the most important part of the connection these days.

Re: Thinking of getting Sky broadband

I need a reliable connection, 24/7. I down load and play games, ps3 and on line poker. But my ISP is expensive,i would stick if my last experience of Sky is anything to go by. Always a **** connection, slow speeds, always phoning the retardish customer service desk, any savings was lost on internet cafes and ring 08 numbers,if they are worth a re try great, but something tells me its a gamble not worth it.

don't get Sky then as you have no leg to stand on if you lose money due to loss of connection - Sky is sold as consumer use only...
