      Is 108Mbps possible?

Apologies if this has been asked already. I've been a happy user of the Sky Broadband Max package for 2 weeks now. Desktop PC running XP with a Netgear Wireless USB Adaptor, in an upstairs room with the router downstairs. It has been working well and pretty quick (download speeds of around 300-400 kb/sec), however the signal strength displayed by the Netgear Wireless Assisstant program never goes above 54 Mbps. The wireless adaptor I have is advertised on the box as going up to 108Mbps, so could I get a faster connection?

      Welcome to the site H_Bee

As dingdong has said and if not and you dont know how-to get into the router to do it then do the following

      ogin clicking on this link

      http://192.168.0.1 A little box will pop-up
      the default username/password is admin/sky

Goto Wireless Settings and change the Mode: to Auto 108 that should sort it out.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
