      Thank you very much mate for confirming this. I needed a bit of reassurance and you provided this. Sky customer services can not be trusted, different advisers say different things.

      Now with regard to change of ISP, could any one suggest which Isp I should go for and gives good value for money along with high speed.? I checked O2 and BE and they are run out of space at my exchange. I'm giving a thought about talk talk, they have recently added Boostrs for 4 each. Theymake promise on their site that if you take speed booster, they would give maximum possible speed your line can support. and it's motnhly basis. Your expert suggestions pls.

      well personally i wouldnt touch talk talk with a barge pole...umm depends as you are really near the exchange o2 or be would be the best but as they say "no room at the inn" so umm eclipse are ment to be good or zen are apparently as well...umm this is really annoying

      did be/o2 give confirmation that there was no room because you will get 22mb atleast straght away on be....

      the only alternative is virgin media ... but i rarely recommend them as they throttle to death and traffic shape like hell...

      i think you really need to find out about the space issue at the exchange....

      sorry i cant help much more...

      also, Connect is throttled peak time - so that could account for slow speeds...

      i agree it's been a bit of a bodge but it depends why the BB was ceased in the first place - did BT do it or Sky?...

      If Be and O2 cannot give you LLU broadband or promise to put you on it, you may well be better off staying with Sky. They are charging you 10 per month, which is the LLU price even if you will be on Connect for a while. Charging you this means that they intend to put you on LLU when it becomes available.

      If you stay, ring Customer Services regularly to remind them that you are waiting to be put back on Max.

      Try to have a Happy New Year despite this.

      Most likely it was BT who disconnected you, or wiped the line clear.

      If it was sky, the systems would say that it has been ceased or cancelled.

      Thanks for your advise mate and a very happy new year to you all too.

      Well, sky should be offering me Connect for 5 a month. When I check availability giving my phone number on Wireless Broadband Deals & Unlimited Broadband - Join Now it offers me connect for a fiver as an special offer. But when I phone sky, rhey don't seem to know about it. I don't know what to do.

      Just a little update. I cheked broadband availability online with sky today and it says I'm in sky broadband area. I contacted sky but they said they won't be able to do anything now since my line already provisioned and go live date is 07.01.09. They explained that my best bet would be to wait till the 7th to go live and then I can transfer over to their package provided there's still availability at the exchange. If I cancel my Connect order now it would take more than a week to clear my line so that another order can be placed.

      They aslo mentioned that they're offering the Connect service at the price of 5 a month and I would be switched over automatically to their mid package if space available. Then I can transfer over to the Max package and it could take upto 12 hours to get connected. What do you all suggest? Shall I wait till the 7th? Please advise.

      Wait it out. You should then be migrated to Mid if there is space and then you can up to Max.

      hey mate did you get this sorted?? I am also on the poplar exchange and its crazy full !!! I had to settle with plusnet because everyone else was full... I now just signed up for sky tv and would LOVE to get broadband max!! But as you said when I put in my number it says the exchange is full and I can only get Sky connect.. maybe I should ask sky if I go on a waiting list to get on sky max but it could be like months?? or even years?? when the hell is BT going to upgrade poplar?... they really didnt think about it too well when they built canary wharf and all the apartments on isle of dogs with 1 crappy exchange to service everyone damn it !!!

      middle of next year.... and ummm yeah not alot you can do but sign with connect atm...but ask for a goodwill gesture like connect for the price of max until you get max?
