      Hi,

I just plugged the faceplate back on to test out the speed and I noticed that this whole time the home phone had not been plugged into a microfilter and the moment I plugged it in the speed dropped down to my original level. When I plugged it in using a microfilter it jumped back to 7mb again. I think the problem lies in the fact that no microfilter was plugged in!

Do you think that I should phone up Sky and try to see if they can put me onto a higher speed somehow as I am paying for 16mb and I am only receiving 7mb. Do you think that they could put me onto ADSL2?

Any help would be appreciated guys and thanks for all the help so far guys!

you're paying for UP TO 16Mbps and getting about right for your attenuation...nothing more to gained and chances are you'll be capped...
