      Keep getting disconnected, help please

      ive got the netgear DG834GT, firmware version V1.03.87
      me and my brother keep getting disconnected from the router at the same time, hes on his laptop im on my computer
      even if hes connected to it thru his ps3 he gets disconnected at the same time as me
      so its not our computers or the ps3
      can anyone help me please? because this is really annoying bein disconnected constantly

      Wired or wireless? Does the Internet light on the router go out or change colour when you are disconnected?

      both wireless
      well i dont know because i am online upstairs in me room and so is my brother and my router is downstairs in the frontroom so wen i am disconnected i cant see whats on the router cos it aint near me
      it use to be fine its only recently started to happen but i dont know why

      You will have to discover if you are being disconnected from the net, or from the router. It is possible a neighbour has started using Wireless broadband and it is interfering with your signal. You will have to plug at least one PC in using ethernet to see what the problem is. If it if just the wireless that is disconnecting then changing the channel on the router may help. Try channel 13.

      well i will try changing the channel to 13 to see if the disconnecting keeps happening if it does i will try plugging a pc in just trying not to cos its hassle lol thanks for ur reply i will see how i get on lol
