Somebody else is suffering the same problem as I, he has also posted on this forum. Is there a chance the CU could duff up the router?

I'm glad I'm not the only person. So I can rest assure that my PC is screwed up =D.

There are a lot of us on the forum running it, so I think if it did any damage it would have been reported by now. It does not replace the Sky firmware, just adds convenience to it. As far as the Gods looking down from Sky are concerned it is the same firmware, it even updates automatically. The .04 is the latest, in which James ironed out a few bugs in the earlier versions.

Does that link you provided tell you how to install it?

      Re: Sky DNS and Facebook

It is installed using the built in Router Upgrade application. Just save the Flash image to your PC, open the router settings, click Router Upgrade on the left. Browse to the image fie, click Upload and sit back and wait. Disconnect from the Internet while you are doing it and unplug any other PCs that are plugged into the router. Don't disconnect from the power while the update is running. Read through post 58 of the link for Faqs.

Remember to save your router settings before you start!

"Can I go back to the standard Sky firmware if I wish to?

Yes, that's no problem at all. You can download the official V1.03.87 firmware and install it on the router using the Router Upgrade link on the router's configuration pages"

This is covered in the Question and Answer section of James' post.

One thing I did not emphasise is do not try this with wireless, you must be connected by ethernet. It may work OK with wireless, but it is possible you could get into an irretrievable situation.
