should be F8 whilst booting (is on my laptop)...if not type msconfig in the run dialog box and then go to the boot tab, select safe boot and select network and then it'll ask you to reboot and it'll go straight in - just remember to untick it when in safe mode to boot back to normal...

it very possible the router is at fault - if you have another one to hand you can obviously test the theory...

      Currently running Safe Mode.

      Still syncing at 16380kbps.

Just got another one of these.

And a 1.1Mbps from the SkyUser site.

If it's running in safe mode then you may well have a throughput issue from router, the router is synched to the line at full speed but for some reason it's not pushing the data through to the PC at that speed.

      That is exactly the problem.

      Exactly.

Sync is fine, just doesn't output anywhere near the speed it's synced at.

Is this a router fault, should I ask Sky for a new one but will I be charged?

You'll be put through troubleshooting and if the router is proven faulty a replacement is sent out free of charge.

Re: This is driving me insane...Please Help!

Currently on the phone, waiting 40mins to be put through to CST, got a ticket number and everything.

If the router's syncs at both my end and their end are still okay, I'm assuming it's a router problem if I'm only getting about 1.3Mbps out of a connection that has synced at 16380klbps since Day 1?

If you have the V1 router, you could try the router speed application in MelsNotes it is under Router based "speed test"

Is what I get, not the best with stats, could anyone please interpret for me ?

I'm assuming that's showing that the router is only downloading at ~1.2Mbps but is synced at 16Mbps.

.... Do these statistics help anyone?

I'm surprised no-one has suggested you try a different PC against your router!

To me it looks like your router is faulty. The same test gives me 6856kbps, with a connection speed of 7800kbps.
