up and down speeds alot of router reseting

Hi all, wonder if anybody could help me?
I have had sky bb mid for bout 2 years now and started of with a 2mb conection which was great and was said by sky i could get this speed and also the skybroadband checker says i can as bt could only give my 512 for some reason, after a few months i started getting alot of drop outs and had to keep resetting my router to get my speed back to normal, spoke to a tech guy from sky and he siad i was getting just over 2mb and was to much for my line so they dropped it just down to 1.8mb which was fine for months untill i changed my line rental to sky and have been having the same problems again but this time my speed going right down to 400 od k at some points done all the test ect in master socket ethernet ect and same problems and alot of resetting my router, and recently my speed has been put at 1mb now which is alot slower than what i had and every now and then still cutting out do you think im on dlm. here is my router status

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 12906 17916 0 618 4994 01:03:14
      LAN 10M/100M 541 0 0 36 0 01:03:56
      WLAN 11M/54M 19343 14192 0 5180 731 01:03:49

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1024 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 18.5 db 14.0 db

Do you think this could be due to changing my line rental to sky and its dlm?

Any help would be great they keep me on hold forever on the helpline. many thanks all

How are you connected to the telephone line, how many sockets on that line and what else is using the line? You may need to call Sky tech support while in the test socket to get your line config reset.

Re: up and down speeds alot of router reseting

you might wanna check if you have upload set to unlimited as it'll saturate your connection...and you're also heavily capped so call Sky again (with it in test socket) and they can reset your speed...should get 2-3Mbps...
