Has anyone tried using this website to view free tv, it is blocked by sky but it tells you on the website you need to contact your isp, any idea the email address I need to contact?

They haven't blocked it as such, it's just they haven't set up a peering connection with TVCatchup's service provider (NetrinoUK). Same result though.
I suspect this is a concious decision by Sky as they presumably see TVC as a competitor to their streaming service. If they wanted to set up the peering it would cost them nothing and no effort to do.
TVCatchup is a brilliant service and I use it a lot, as does one of my kids away at Uni. It's a great shame for Sky customers that they can't use it.

Who do I contact to get them to do it

I'm sure you'd be wasting your time with Customer Services. Maybe contact the press office and ask them for an official response to why they haven't facilitated the use of TVC? That might get things moving, but I doubt it. Sorry to be so pessimistic

I can tell you exactly why Sky won't set up the peering connection.
Its because TVCathup is still a Beta service. It does not have a complete program yet, and there is no guarantee that it will become a proper service in the future.
Sky won't support Beta services, because they may have an adverse effect on their own broadband service.
Basically, there is no point in emailing them to do it, as they wont do it.

It's just Sky protecting their commercial interests. Have you not noticed that Sky has recently launched a pay as you view streaming service?

Can you give a screen shot of what you get when it says " Blocked " ?
if you think about it i would take it up with tech support !
After all you cant browse to that site !!!!! This is some thing sky will need to change ,
They cant sell a broadband server and yet say " no we do not want you to use this site " where will it end if thats the case ?

This is the message I get -
Sorry Easynet Customers ...
Your ISP (Easynet) does not currently support TVCatchup.
In order for you to use the TVCatchup site for free, your ISP must have a free peering connection with us.
We encourage you to email your ISPís support department requesting them to set up this free peering connection. Full details of the steps they need to perform are located at TVCatchup - Never Miss A Show Again.
Once your ISP has established the connection, you will be able to watch the full selection of television channels online.
To be notified when your ISP supports TVCatchup, please enter your details below:

I have submitted a query using the KANA form, asking for it to be enabled or a reason given why it can't be. I don't hold out much hope of a meaningful reply, but the more that ask for it, the better chance of a reply.
