Upstream issue: variation on a theme?

      Hi

      Hope everyone well etc.

Stats are attached. The sync varies from this to a max of 4480 (cap by SKY). I am content with this but for the first time ever my upstream is half the normal average. I guess this is to do with increased noise and consequent lower noise margin. (normally about 14)

Know there is an explanation but just curious?

      Thanks

      Longshanks

With a noise margin of 0, you have noise problems on your line. Your line seems to have deteriorated further since you were capped. Are these stats taken from your Test socket? If not try from there and see if there is a difference.

      Hi

No reason to explain deterioration. Have ASDL faceplate and pro plus cable linking unfiltered signal to ASDL extension in bedroom.

      This morning's stats:

      Router StatisticsSystem Up Time: 39:47:45

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 2756 3650 0 62 394 02:52:22

      WLAN 11M/54M 88086 0 0 247 0 39:47:28
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4384 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 52 db 13.5 db
Noise Margin 8 db 13 db

Must have been a hectic Friday night on the wires.

      Thanks

      L
