Noise margin changing by the second

Over the last month i have been having problems with my broadband slowing down / freezing etc..

i have been looking into many things and think i have found some of the problem

My Noise Margin is changing dramatically on every 10 second refresh interval.

My connection can be fine for 10 - 15mins then it will jump from 19db to 7db then 3db then 8db etc.. every 10 second refresh shows some crazy change.

      It never remains the same.

Does anybody know the cause for this? or even more important a fix.. its a real pain when i keep disconnecting from online gaming aswell as downloading and web browsing

Everything was working perfect until about a month ago and i have made no changes or devices to my network.

My disconnects are happening on both wired and wireless

Are you on the main/ test socket on the telephone line? Anything else on the line apart from filter and telephone?

By "main socket" do you mean the test socket?

Yes, plug your router into the test socket (using a filter) and while you have it there check that any other sockets you have are dead, no dial tone. post your stats from the test socket and see if the noise margin is more stable

If you have the sky tv lead going to your telephone line it needs to go into the tel side of the filter.
