      Contact Sky first, once you can get some sort of connection you can then sort the wiring, but try and connect your router at the main socket downstairs

      This is the problem with having 2 threads on the one subject.

      It does not really matter at the moment that there may be a problem with your socket. You are not being given the best speed and this is shown quite clearly by your stats.
      Connection Speed: Downstream- 64kbps Upstream- 64kbps

      Line Attenuation: Downstream - 46.0 db Upstream- 27.0 db

      Noise Margin: Downstream- 34.6 db Upstream- 14.0 db

      agreed on that one! When you say the line is noisy when using the test socket are you plugging a phone directly in or plugging a micro filter into the test socket then a phone into that? If the forma then you will get noise-that's the ADSL signal. If the latter have you tried a different filter?

      its connected again!!!!!!!!!!


      i unplugged everything for 30 minutes, plugged everything back it and it came on

      kinda strange but its green!
