      Big Problem! Please Help

Hi, im having lots of problems with my broadband.

Basically, my up noise margin will stay at 4.5 or 4.0 and not fluctuate much at all, however recently whenever i pick up the phone the margin will go straight down to 1.0 and soon -29 etc and the router will resync. The noise is also indicated by the CRC errors which rack up for the upstream whenever i make or receive a call. I have replaced the filter and have tried several other filters but i still have this problem. I had my SNR raised to 6db just incase that may be the problem but yet again from a healthy 8.0db the noise margin will drop to 0.5 or 1.0 when i make or receive a call and the router will resync.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Sounds like a filtering or phone problem.

If you exclude a filter problem i.e. you've tried other filters and you're sure every filter is fitted correctly and every device has one, then look to the phone. Have you another phone or can borrow one that you can try?
