You do it the same as you flashed the Netgear firmware. You can use the firmware on the Sky disk or download the latest version from ftp://77.240.11.50/

You will find instructions on how to apply this in this post - Get your Sky V1 Firmware here!.

Re: Big problem with Sky router

Thanks again. I did that, and it installed correctly and the control panel is like it was before I ever started messing with the firmware. The Upstream/Downstream are both still 64kbps though

      Not sure if this helps:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 64 kbps 64 kbps
Line Attenuation 19.0 db 14.0 db
Noise Margin 33.0 db 13.0 db

I've never had a CD from Sky BB sent out, except for the one which I got with the router about 2 years ago which was useless

It looks like you are on a training speed! Now that you have returned the firmware, phone Sky and get them to trouble shoot you. You should be able to get the maximum speed available.

Re: Big problem with Sky router

Thanks well I rang and was asked to change microfilter as he said I'm on the best BB so should get top speed, cant remember amount he said. microfilter made no difference. So I phoned again, and was going to be put through to the better Sky support to get the speed increased.. but he couldnt get through to them, so he made a ticket or something, and they will see it eventually. Said if its not changed by tonight to phone again.

Anyone know how long it usually takes?

It could take a long time. Phone late at night and you have a better chance of being put straight through. Always try and get a ticket number and write it down to refer to the next time you phone. I am not 100% sure, but I have read that if a ticket is not done in 3 days, it is considered to be 'done', whether it is or not.

You may go through an auto regrade. Which may be picked up today if not tomorrow. Otherwise can be a few days or so.

May be worth giving a ring again later in the evening (After 2230) they should put you through to CST and one of the guys there should be able to sort it out for you

Change subject, just noticed I have gone past the 500 mark. Yippie ! !
