      HELP! Sky Broadband going slow

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 7904 kbps 384 kbps
      Line Attenuation 40.0 db 23.5 db
      Noise Margin 7.3 db 13.0 db

      it's been slow for a few days, any idea from those stats if everything is ok?

      The stats and sync are very good. By slow speeds what do you mean, have you checked on a speed checker? or are you getting general slow speeds on downloads(excluding torrents/p2p).

      Try the test socket and see if you feel the speed is faster, you might also want to check the stats of the router and post them.

      Your line might be getting high errors which would make the everything a bit sluggish and cause download speeds to jump around.

      i've got 8mb broadband and speedtest.net is showing various speeds, earlier it was about 3.5mb but now it's 6mb it always seems to be really up and down, where do i find the stats on the router? i thought that was what i had posted! lol

      You have post the statistics for the line.I meant take the router to the test socket and plug it in there and post the stats from there.

      Speedtest.net is unreliable try BT Openworld download the large file and then let us know the download speed.
