How Long ?
Just a quick question.
I registered my interest in Sky Broadband at the end of Aug.
I was advised that I would have to be provisioned on the IP stream over the BT network and pay £17.99 a month and a £40 connection fee.
I wanted the max service and was advised this would not be available to me for another 3 months.
After not hearing from them I called back this week and was advised that my interest had been registered and that I would not have LLu available for another 5 months. So I emailed easynet to ask when they are unbundeling my local exchange and have not heard anything back.
How long is it taking for Sky to even place an order for broadband ?
They appear to be using the TalkTalk queueing system for orders but at least TalkTalk let you know up front how long you will be waiting for your broadband.
Also is there anyway you can check when or if they are going to install the LLU in exchanges ?
I have already tried to find this out on Samknows with no luck.
My Thanks go out to anyone who is able to shead a bit more light on this.

Welcome to the site Boozbro
I would say if there is no LLU available in your exchange yet then the connect package is it unless you are willing to wait as for Easynet you will probably get a reply tomorrow with some idea.
No idea how long its taking SkyBB to place orders but would imagine its not as long as BT would have us all believe and I would find it very strange if the were using the TalkTalk queuing system since they own Easynet I would expect them to be using whatever system they use unless of course Easynet use the TalkTalk one?
There is no other means of checking apart from getting the info direct from the ISP or watching samknows that I am aware of anyway.Ray
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
If you would like to know the straight line distance to your exchange then
Would you like an idea of the possible speeds you will get with the Max Package then click here or for the Connect Package then click here
