broadband dropout when phone rings
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, for sorting this out
not long got a new phone,Motorola wireless [1 each in 2 downstairs rooms]
everytime someone uses the phone,or someone phones in,my broadband drops out,it is only for about 2 minutes, and then another 2 minutes when the call ends, was thinking there could be an easy solution to stop this
thanks in advance

Re: broadband dropout when phone rings
Is this on ethernet? One thing to check is that each and every telephone socket/ outlet on the wall in the house has a filter attached if something is plugging into the telephone line. This includes the lead for sky tv if it is still plugged into the telephone line, nothing should plug into the line without going into a filter first.
If the connection is wireless then you need to move the phone base away from your router and possibly look to change the channel in use on the router itself.

Re: broadband dropout when phone rings
When you say that your broadband drops out do you mean that the Internet Light goes off(so you loose sync with the exchange) or that your wireless network connection goes off?

I know it may sound daft....but I had this problem a while back, along with speed issues...it turned out to be the netgear routers.... 2 of them! now been using my sagem for 4 months, very happy.
