      Recent Drop in Speed

      Hi All,

In January, after some hassling from me, Sky managed to increase my connection speed from about 3mb to 6mb and my router syncd at 6144.

In the last few weeks it has dropped down to around 5200 and seems to hover around there. I've used a traceroute from my usenet provider and it shows a 10% loss on the final connection but I'm not sure if that's coincidental or not because I don't know what it said previously.

Does anyone think it's worth speaking to Sky to see if they can improve it or should I just count myself lucky that I'm able to get 5mb given that my stats aren't too impressive...

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5152 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 49.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 14.0 db

      Thanks

      Andy
