      Re: Cap Removed?

Well I would be more worried at the 4dB SNR!

Looking at those stats 34dB attenuation should allow for a little more speed and could either be capped or because the SNR margin is quite low.

Have you tried connecting from the tester socket behind your master socket?

Post your stats when connected there

160kbps up and 4 Snr down is what I would be worried about.

Looks like you will have some stability issues.
      Whats your setup like?
      Testsocket?

You may need the D/s capped about half a meg.

It may be advisable to have CST have a look at your upload speed. You also appear to be on G.DMT, which is why your connection speed is a bit low. You may get some advantage in being moved to ADSL2+, but it is possible your line will become unstable and cause disconnections. Unless you are the type who really really must have the fastest your line can handle you would be well advised to leave it alone. Get your upstream fixed and you will be fine.

      Re: Cap Removed?

      That's your upstream sorted then

Are you still getting big noise margin swings (earlier your noise margin was 4db)? If not then you could consider a move to ADSL2+ which would probably give you a downstream increase. If you're happy with your speed though then leave alone as ADSL2+ could be less stable than your current connection.

They seem to be fine now but have noticed the noise margain does decrease slightly at night time but other than that seems to be going well.

      Re: Cap Removed?

Slightly is fine - a drop of up to 2db at night is normal.
