      dslams

      i have a relative who works for bt and he is telling me that there is ongoing problems with the new dslams this could be causing alot of problems with isps and us at sky with these reports of connections that are hanging and cutting in and out

      first of all when he explained it to me it sort of meant nothing to me so i never really asked which make or model will when i speak to him again i will try and get him to explain things in more detail and i will post the conversation

      i had called him and was explaining the problems i was having with my connection and he had said there was problems with dslams.

      Sky LLU uses MSANs though, totally different system?

      It could account for a lot of the problems being experienced by Connect customers at the moment. Unlikely to be causing any problems to Sky LLU, unless the BTO engineers have a frustrated kick at the Sky box on the way past it.

      Now Now!! thats a bit inflamitory. The only problem I have ever had with any exchange bound BB kit is how to fit it in. Despite what you may hear it is very reliable.
