Are you connected to the master/test socket? Just need to check if it's an internal issue 1st

To be honest i am not sure whihc socket i am connected to, moved to a big old house in the country, theres an extension from the phone socket in my bedroom that goes through the wall and ends up in my computer room.

No idea where it begins but could be the kitchen as when the random phone cable in the kitchen is unplugged the internet stops working, the cable just goes up into the celing.

I think the main phone socket is at the front door as its got the line and the T on it, will try and plug it in tommorw and see what happens, but is kinda hard to test as it happens at random time like now. Thats why it has taken to song to reply.

That sort of wiring situation is a mare to figure out, best option is to do what you are doing, check the first socket by the door. This "normally" is the main socket, if it is then you can start working from there to find your best setup.
