    it's getting worse.

    This is a discussion on it's getting worse. within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; now tried all the sockets, and it appears to do the same...

      the ONLY way you're going to identify the issue is to locate your master socket, unplug all other socket and just plug the router, via a filter, in the this socket with no extentions and see what happens...and, even better, try the test socket (assuming you have one)...

      so I basically locate the master socket, and plug the router in, but disconnect all other sockets, ie, pull the phones all out?

      yes...this way you're isolating the line to the master socket - ideally use the test socket but that's only if you have one, as it'll then actually disconnect the extentions around the house...
