Connection dropped but came back, now can't access many sites

      Hi folks

Well after a few teething problems I managed to get fully online within a day of my activation. At first there were problems which Sky were only too happy to put down to a faulty router which would have to be replaced (7-10 days), but after some great help on here I tweaked some Windows settings at it was fine.

So all was going well until Thursday when the connection dropped. I reset the router and managed to get back online after a reboot, but ever since then I can't access loads of websites (not just the few mentioned in this forum). And they are biggies like ebay, play.com for example.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, and if so did they manage to get it rectified? I've got a "ticket" logged with tier3, but no phone call back after 3 days and can't get through to them

      Cheers

      Ryan

Could they have gotten one of the "problem" IP addresses on the reboot?

If that's the case, do you know how I can rectify it?

I'm starting to wonder whether Sky's "3rd tier" support actually exist, I can never get through to them and after 3 days there's been no call back.

I really thought that a company the size of Sky would have sufficient support service in place for the launch of this product - obviously not

      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
