      Downgraded without explanation

      Had skymax for about 7 months now enjoying speeds of around 13.5 and as high as 14 meg then all of a sudden 3 weeks ago speed began dropping connection was dropping 20 times a day any way after 40 odd hours onto cs we have a stable connection but the speed is still falling we are now connecting under 5 meg .I have done all the tests on the equipment received new router etc but sky can offer no explanation or resolve than keep decreasing my frequency Can any one point me in the right direction?

      You need to post your router stats so we can take a look. It would be best if you coulf do it from the current position and then plugged into the test socket.

      Where were the stats taken from ? Main or test socket?

      master socket adsl v10 face removed and test plug through sky filter

      If you just plug in the phone, can you hear any noise on the line?

      Hope so, awaiting BT involvement now however as I stated I have spent about 40 hours on the phone to sky on various occasions over a fortnite line was ok then but bb not

      Great news BT owned up to line fault eventually visited my home re connected faulty connection a quick call to SKY and latencey restored to its former fantastic glory,Hooray for SKY and big BOO to BT, but seriously it appears CS are powerless to identify or even predict a BT fault (I'm glad I don't work there).
