Aluminium phone line? Could be if you had the same problems with another ISP. If you had a good service with Be, it should be 'Be here I come'.

      Re: Problems already

Right , sky talk were a bit more helpfull , took me through the test socket stuff , line att was still fluctuating and snr , they also done a line test but that came back ok .

they booked a BT openreach call , but i'm a little scared with the cost , they must find something , being as it was the same problem with tiscali and now with sky , suppose it makes it a little easier on the big fat bill worry

If you were lucky enough to get Sky to book Openreach, then they will be paying for it. I am very surprised that they have, it is usually the very last thing they do especially if you have only been connected today. I have a feeling you have been fobbed off, but I could be wrong.

hhmmm , i hope not . In my experiance , line test don't mean a thing , had one done in another property no fault but an engineer came out and said the fault was in the exchange and was all sorted ... fingers crossed

      Line test means diddly-squat.
BT in India (when I was with BT) did a line test when my line (phone & BB) was as dead as a dodo. They said it tested OK. Subsequently the Openreach guy found one of my 'pair' twixt street cabinet and exchange had gone to earth. Switched me to another pair and all was OK.
