It started last night and is persisting this morning...
It just randomly times out for some reason. I can speak on VoIP software fine but as soon as I do somthing that requires a little bit of bw then poof.. orange light.

If your noise margin is swinging between 11.4db and 4db then that indicates you have a wiring problem - hopefully in your home wiring (which is easier to diagnose and fix). See the Cabling and Faceplate Help Forum.
