      I have a similar problem,

      I was ocnnected last night,

My stats are pretty much what expected:-

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4202 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 52.0 db 30.0 db
Noise Margin 6.9 db 9.0 db

But when I do a speed test I get this:-

These stats are less than half as good as my old 2 Mb line I had.

Any ideas on what I can do to sort this out?

You're connected at 4202 which is good for your attenuation.

Speedtest sites aren't reliable - you're just testing what load they're currently under so they will vary through the day. Of the various speedtest sites http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/ seems most reliable.

Try an FTP site or (less accurate) the BT speedtest. You should be downloading at around 3500 kbps.
