Post your stats from your normal position and from the Test socket. Copy and paste these to the forum, there is no need to upload images to PB.

Re: Problems with Sky Max and Sagem router

The problems have gotten worse. After putting totally new wiring in the problems have returned.

When we put the new wiring in we were completely fine for 1 day. The phone wasn't crackly and the downstream stayed fast and no disconnects.

      Now we have:
      a crackly phone
      Frequent Disconnects

Here is an image of a strange happening. I had to reboot the router to get it working again.

If you now have a crackle phone line, that is a good thing, as you can approach whoever you pay your line rental to, and report a noisy phone line. Once this fault is repaired, it will also take care of your BB problem.

Check your phone line at the test socket, with a normal wired phone. if the line is noisy report it.

Just don't mention adsl when you report it, report it as an intermittent noise on the line or noisy line, tell them it's impacting your voice calls.

Re: Problems with Sky Max and Sagem router

Got a BT man in who fixed the line (it was the box outside our house had rotted).

      No disconnects and 10Mb downstream.

However i can never achieve download speeds of above 250kbs. When downloading the new World of Warcraft patch the download speed was 120kbs most of the time.

How can it be so bad for 10mb downstream.

Also when 2 people play World of warcraft on our house we get high latency. How do i stop this. Also how do i do port forwarding on my router.

Re: Problems with Sky Max and Sagem router

Check your download speed using the SkyUser Tester Downloading speed depends on the speed the server can give you and this depends on how many are using it.

If you have not already done so and you are not using Vista, download and run TCPOptimiser. This will ensure that the settings on your PC are correct. The different latency being experienced is probably down to using wireless. There is not really much you can do about it, apart from checking that the adapter drivers are up to date and the best channel available is being used.
