      help with new modem/router

      Hi,
I have spent some time searching, but have got a bit stuck.
      ive just bought a bufffalo ADSL2+ (WBMR-G300N) as i want more range/bandwidth.
I have got my username and password by flashing the sky router and used the link to a website elsewhere on this forum both tally up,so they must be right.
However, the buffalo still wont connect to the internet,is it actually possible to change routers on sky broadband? i have plugged a friends newer sagem modem/router into my pc and it connects without changing a thing,do sky only allow sky modems to connect?
am I just not setting the buffalo up right?

help and/or some links would be much appreciated.
      thanks

      Re: help with new modem/router

Any Sky router with a working username and password will work on a Sky enabled line.

Chances are you have one of the settings wrong in the new router, Sky LLu used a few different settings to the standard BT ones.

Take a snapshot of the settings on the working router and check them one at a time. Many people on here use their own router (me for one) with out problems.
