      Found them here: Mel's Notes

When I click on it, it asks for u/n password which I assume is the default admin one?
Well it just times out, FF just shows a blank page and IE shows page cannot be displayed...

What about for the month? Would it be likely to be over the 40GB?
There is not a lot of information about this as it is fairly new, as in Sky announcing the Max is unlimited, and that Connect is subject to shaping etc

How long does this traffic managed last and more to the point, why the hell didn't the fella on the phone tell me that?
The first real report we had was the other week, the speeds recovered the day after. Or on plugging in another Sky router.

In all fairness, I don't think anybody really knows what's happening on this, as I said above it is very recent.

EDIT - JUST CHECKED AND SPOOKS IS ONLY 4% D/L, YET ON THE ACTUAL FOLDER IT SAYS 40GB... ??
What about for the whole month though?

It may or not be this, it was just a thought, with you being on Connect.

Firstly, thanks for your patience and help on this - see you like German Shepherds too - bonus brownie point from me

frustrating, i don't really know what my d/l has been for the whole month, there's stuff currently in my queue - as I mentioned a torrent which is only 4% is showing as 40gb which can't be right.
I'm not a crazy downloader normally, but I suppose I have been a little more active than usual this month.
I've downloaded the BSR app on here, how long should that be running for before I get detailed stats as an option?

Already though it's all over the place

I may see what it costs to upgrade to max, if that makes a difference.

If you are on Connect it probably means Sky have not enabled your exchange so you could not get Max.
Check your speed/profile on the official BT tester - Go to BT Performance Tester enter your phone number then your ADSL username. This will do an official BT speed test and show your present profile. Your ADSL username is <the LAN MAC number of your router, no colons, followed by> @skydsl You can also obtain this from the router by using one of the utilities available on the forum.

      Re: Download slowed to 0kb...?

Thanks, tried this and it crashes with Exception Access Denied with Java.net.SocketPermission [ip address] connect, resolve.
Does this everytime when it gets to 96%

Incidentally during test the noise margin shoots up to 2147483646db, as soon as test fails it drops to 1db. Spoke to sky, I have not exceeded bandwidth apparently as they send a letter out the first time you do it.
So… starting to pull out my hair

      Re: Download slowed to 0kb...?

Just guessing but I think your connection may be dropping during the test, changing your IP address.

Try running the Test from your Test socket. You seem to have very bad noise problems on your line. The margin is not shooting up to that very high figure, it is actually dropping to a negative value which the router cannot express. Until you sort out the noise margin problem you are not going to get anywhere. Using the Test socket will eliminate internal faults and prove whether it is your external line that has developed faults. Faults happen, just because you have had no problems for years does not mean your line is still OK.

      Re: Download slowed to 0kb...?

If you contact Sky about this they should be able to get you to the CST Dept and as far as I know they can log it to BT for an SNR increase or a BRAS reset... I heard this somewhere, Whether it's true or not I don't know.. Should sort the noise on the line..Also, make sure your not using an extension cable or have a socket that is being used but not filtered.. :|

If you are still getting such slow speeds it's probably a profile hasn't been set on your line I can remember Seeing 8Mb on the router status but no profile set and everthing showing Default speeds on BT tests.

      Thanks guys, the plot thickens..
Spoke to tech, they said something is weird with your account, it says you don't have broadband with us. We can't do anything but will put you through to cust services...
Cust Services say, yes it's showing as active but let me speak to this dept who have direct access to BT.
It turns out that I do not have broadband, they have never seen it before, but I'm active, been paying 17 for 6 months, but BT do not have me having broadband.

Been escalated, so fingers crossed will get a solution - It doesn't sound like it'll be a quick one though...

Will keep people updated on here, in case I'm not the only one
