      Router Statistics??

Ive been looking at My Router Statistics over the last few days by logging into the Sky Broadband set up page and they have allways been the same.

How offen does it update itself??

Im asking because my speeds are allways the same but when i do a speedtest from A speedtest website it comes back way lower then what the Statistics say on the sky broadband pages.

The stats shouldn't change that often.

Speedtest sites will always give lower results for different reasons. There could be ten, hundreds, or even thousands of people trying to do the test at the same time.

You should expect to lose 10 - 15% of your line speed in overheads at any one time.

For example, if your speed on the router was 10mb you should expect to see results ranging from 8.5mb upwards. ish.

You will also get a much lower speed than your sync speed if you use wireless. Often as much as 50%. If you are getting much less than 85% with ethernet, you should run TCPOptimiser. Link below.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.
