    Internet Light

      Internet Light

      On the Internet feed Light on the Broadband Box,when the PC is switched off which means there is NO activity should the Light do a single blink about every 20 seconds?

      Yes as long as its connected it will packets go back and forth all the time for various reasons don't worry about it

      Done That

      Yes I am on Win XP SP2 and I have ticked the box like you said origianaly.
      However it likes to disapear.


      19 1/2 hours and still live with this connection.
      I bet tommorow I will start to loose it again?

      I went though it when BT BB was first introduced with BT and its not very pleasant but they got it sorted out in the end and I guess given time so will SkyBB.

      am I doing the right thing?

      Having nervously registered for Sky BB several weeks ago I am still waiting for notification. I have just phoned them to find out that there is a wait of 20 minutes and that I should "shortly" be getting an email or letter about my request for BB.

      So I need to know about problem solving -- my current ISP plus.net which used to be good though expensive fell down on customer service. I do not want to change my email address again so I hope someone out there can allay my fears that Sky BB will be a good option for me.

      Hi

      Ive got a question but didnt want to start a new thread.

      My activation date is apparently tommorow..but ive got no internet light yet.
      And since my house mate lost our BT bill I cant get the account number for the order tracking site.
      And since we only have a master socket in the house, and yet no phone (lol) we cant test the socket to see if it works..(but the sky digibox is hooked up with no problems to it...)

      So.
      Before activation...isnt the internet light supposed to ocme on to show synchronisation ?
