      Problems accessing website/mail server....

About two months ago I started having problems accessing my work website Max Green Alchemy is hair, skin and personal care products of Pure Plant Origin. Paraben-free, petrochemical-free, synthetic-free, cruelty-free and certified Vegan. Made with organic and sustainably wildcrafted plant ingredients. and its associated mail server. Usual in the morning I can work, and then by mid afternoon the access goes down. It normally helps if I reset the router, even temporarily.

I traceroute (from the router) and find I can get quite far down the line. However The Planet (the respectable server farm I use in Houston) have run tests to say that Sky is blocking my access.

I wouldn't ordinary know who to believe (I'm not overly techie) except that I also use Yahoo's pay email service to allow me to send emails on their outgoing server. And about the same time I've had problems with this too. Up to two months ago I could send an email without problem, then it might take up to five tries and now I can't use it at all.

If I take my laptop to another non Sky environment I don't have any problems. And Sky support don't see it could be their problem. Can anyone help?

When you lose connection it is the router that is loosing the connection to the exchange (the light on the front goes orange) or do you just loose the connection to the router.

It will help if you post your router stats, I suspect that you are having connection problems rather than Sky blocking you as they don't seem to do this to anyone else.

It would also help if you tried a wired connection also to see if it a wireless problem.

BTW, Sky's T&S's do not allow or business use so if you do speak to them you would be best not mentioning this just incase someone decides to act upon it.

I don't think there is any issue with the connection to the router. When it happens I cannot get access to my work server/web page but I can always access my personal emails and every other website.

I did indeed use an ethernet cable to the router and get the same blockage.

I can also switch to a BT wireless router in the building and access everything without issue including use of the yahoo outgoing mail servers.

Ah that sheds a little more light on it, I can still see no reason why Sky would be doing this.

      I have found this:-

      http://forums.theplanet.com/lofivers...hp/t90589.html

It seems that they have been having problems for some time with some IP's that have been assigned, some can and some cannot reach them.
