I would hope that even our worst agents would see those speeds as an issue lol If not I will happily suggest reporting them

Maybe Paul, but there have been some instances of agents not being able to see the wood for the trees. If it is not actually on their instructions, it might not occur to them. Not all of them have your insight.

Thats true. Some people have come through and have been through the full TS in the test socket, swapped filters, reset router routine and all it is,is that its set to 64 64 or 128 128.

It is a bit low, unless you are a very long way from the exchange. Most lines will easily support the full 2Mb on Base.

Can you copy and paste the stats from the router here. It may give someone an idea why you are low.

I have now took the belkin adapter back and shall be getting a netgear one tomorrow. It kept dropping the signal and disconnecting. The shop said this was a common problem. Will let you know how I get on. Should I be getting the G or G+? Di.

Re: 48kbps upload and 53kbps download

Just a quick update. I have finally managed to get a netgear WG111T 108 kbpm adapter (they are like gold dust around here) and everything seems to be working fine. upload 1728 download 298. The only thing that is annoying is that the blue light on the adapter keeps flashing. The signal strength says 87%. I don't think I will worry too much, why try to fix what isn't broken. Thanks to all who helped me with this, this is an excellent forum. Di.
