      Woot!

If my exchange (Cumbernauld) says its been unbundled on 2nd November 2006, and i'm currently on the Connect package (at a ***** poor connection of 512k since i'm 5km from exchange), how do i go about checking with Sky if/when i get switched over to the "proper" Sky package?
I don't care if the glass is half full or half empty, i just want to know who's been drinking my pint!!!

I've been told by easynet that the Ingleby Barwick exchange NEILB will be unbundled early February 2007. I also asked Sky when I was ordering my broadband, what happened when the exchange was unbundled. According to the person I spoke to, once it happens you should get a letter notifying you, and asking which package you want to be put on. Although saying that, I'm sure I saw somewhere on the Sky blurb that you were automatically put on the "Mid" package. I was told there would be no extra charge for this.

      HTH.

      Now on line.

It's is worth checking your exchange here http://www.samknows.com/broadband/index.php and check if easynet is enabled then chase Sky if you haven't heard anything. I registered with them at the beginning of Sept after a nightmare with TalkTalk! Sky offered me a connect package at 17.99 but I declined because it was the same price as BT! so I stayed with BT better the devil you know and all that! I stayed registered with Sky and they said they would inform me as soon as the exchange was enabled, I checked Samknows earlier this month and found Easynet/Sky had been enabled for over 3 weeks but they never informed me. One phone call to Sky and I was up and running 10 days later although I do have some issues which I am discussing on another thread.

Exchange: Hulme Hall in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire.

I have been on Sky Connect for a matter of days but see that it says my exchange is Easynet/sky enabled. Should that mean I can get one of the cheaper packages?

      Results:

ADSL, SDSL, LLU services, and Cable are all ticked green. Wireless is ticked red.

Re: When is your exchange to be unbundled

Did you ask for connect or was that what was only avaimable when you ordered?

If the only option was Connect then they have probably ran out of ports to put you on one of the other packages.

If not then you will have to wait until they decide to move you over.

Re: When is your exchange to be unbundled

I originally put my number into their site and it said SKY BB wasn't enabled at my exchange, called up and they said they could only put me on connect. I've just gone back to their site now and put my number in again and it says I can get any of the broadband packages. So I'll call tomorrow and find out if I can go on a different one. Thanks
