      Re: DNS Server Dropping

I've tried all combinations of additional DNS servers in the connection properties, but I've had little success - so I've come to the decision that it simply can't be the DNS servers themselves, it must be part of the connection itself. Although the uptime in the router statistics say the connection isn't broken as such. I can't ping any named address, nor even ping known numeric IP addresses. So something is periodically breaking, but is fixed when I repair the connection itself. If anyone has any further ideas, I'd appreciate it.

I hope to get dropped all the time, but the problem eventually went away.

      Re: DNS Server Dropping

Well after all that nonsense with DNS servers, it seems the problem may have been with the Netgear PCI Wireless Adapter card. I bought a different one, and installed it and I've not had any DNS problems since. I specifically bought a Netgear adapter because I thought I would have less troubles because the SKY v2 router is Netgear. But there you go. Thanks to everyone who replied with ideas and help.
