You should power down your router for 5 minutes, then power it up again, every night for the next week to allow it to resync with the exchange. If they have fixed it you should see an improvement with the first reboot.

What does the official BT test say? Until your profile is raised, you will see little difference in speed test.

As an aside, the Speedtest.net one may look nice and fancy, but it is not accurate, this has been proved many times by reports on the forum. Unlike users on LLU, you have access to the Official BT tester, this is extremely accurate. You should use it and not waste your time with fancy graphics.

      Re: my sky broadband problems

Give it another day and if your profile does not move, phone Sky, get through to CST and tell them your profile seems to be stuck. Also don't reboot your router, pull out the power plug at the back for a few minutes. I may be wrong but I think with your line being set to the wrong package, it may be effecting how your line reacts to changes. It can take 3 days for the profile to rise, so you may find tomorrow your Profile shoots up. If it does not, it is possible BT may have to recalculate your line and set it back to the beginning of the 10 day period.

      kinda of, yes...

the ONLY time you're on the wrong product is when you sync at a constant 288kbps up/down...in the last few days sync has been over 6Mbps so it was just a stuck IP profile...

      glad it's done now, though...finally!!!

really hope BT stops doing this as it's getting beyond a joke!!
