      firstly, yes ok tier 1 can be a bit rubbish at times but is it really that bad??

      secondly, you (ideally) need to get to CST in Shepton as the BT Escalations team are based there so they can say there and then if it's getting done...don't bother asking to get to that office though as it's luck which you get...

      Sky own Easynet, they don't just use their equipment.

      You should power down your router for 5 minutes, then power it up again, every night for the next week to allow it to resync with the exchange. If they have fixed it you should see an improvement with the first reboot.

      Have a look at This it will give you an idea on how to handle your connection.
      You do not turn off the router in the 10 day training period!! Thats what makes the connection slow!! It sets the line at a speed and will increase it if the connection holds;
      If the router is turned off the BT system counts it as a drop out and will reduce the line rate thinking the line can't hold the set line rate... :|

      There is a lot of stuff talked about what you should and should not do during the 10 days. In reality you can do what you like, just dont go mad any re-sync more than 10 times in an hour, or it will be sensed as instablity.

      True if you want to turn it off, by all means go ahead but you will just loose sync speeds.
      If your line wants to re-sync, let the line do it. Leave the router on, if the line can't handle the speed, the sync will drop and the line rate will drop anyway to regain sync. So why do it yourself? If it will happen, it will happen

      So you know better than the experts at Plusnet, who have been working with ADSLMax from its inception?

      The first 10 days
      During the first 10 days of Max your phone line will be automatically measured to establish what speed it can support, and in particular at what speed the line will remain stable. You will see your sync speeds vary, and commonly may experience disconnections and some instability of your connection. During the testing period you should frequently make new connections to the Internet so these tests can take place. It's a good idea to power off/on your modem or router when doing this - this will force your equipment to reconnect.
