      If you have a problem, start your own thread, state what is wrong and post your stats.

      Hi,Just fitted a filtered faceplate

      Here are my stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 8447 kbps 764 kbps
      Line Attenuation 36.0 db 16.8 db
      Noise Margin 8.0 db 14.0 db

      Here is my previous stats without a filtered faceplate.


      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 8320 kbps 764 kbps
      Line Attenuation 36.0 db 17.0 db
      Noise Margin 7.9 db 14.0 db

      If you have no hardwired extensions, a filtered faceplate will make no difference. All it does is tidy up the appearance at the socket. I think there is possibly a fault or deterioration on your external line, but getting this fixed when you have a reasonable speed is very difficult. On ADSL2+ with a good line you should get 10-12 Mb.

      Hi isitme,

      You are correct i donot have any hardwired extensions.I did buy the filtered faceplate to tidy up the appearance of the socket.

      It does seem funny that my speed has increased.
      Sky configured my line to 8444Kbps
