I set up the microfilter exactly exactly as instructed in the manual but I still hear those beeping noises and static noises during a phone call. Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Have you tried changing the filter? Make sure your Sky digibox is properly filtered. The filter should always be plugged into the socket first, then any extensions plugged into the filter.
